Deschutes Estuary Restoration Team (DERT)

Paige Anderson, Executive Director of the Deschutes Estuary Restoration Team (DERT), is my guest for this episode.

DERT is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the Deschutes Watershed. DERT began organizing in 2009 and became a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2011. In 2020, DERT became an affiliate of Puget Soundkeeper Alliance and a member of the international Waterkeeper Alliance.

Paige explains why the estuary is important and how DERT is working with various stakeholders to ensure that the watershed is restored and returned to a healthy balance.
