Something that makes you feel nostalgic, excited, and relaxed all at the same time. Something that makes you want to sit on a front porch, ride a bike, and wiggle your toes in the sand. And Seabrook, on Washington’s Pacific coast, is all that and more. Just 85 miles west of Olympia, it’s close enough for a quick weekend trip, yet far enough to feel like you’ve truly gotten away.

Visiting A Beach Town

The minute you enter Seabrook, you can tell there is something special about this town. Despite the new construction happening on the south side of town, it’s easy to imagine that Seabrook has been here, perched on the edge of the Pacific Northwest, forever.

Seabrook has everything you could need for a fabulous beach vacation: cute beach houses, cruiser bikes, fire pits, delicious food options, a wine bar, and a gorgeous stretch of sandy beach. Not only are the houses cute and comfy, but every cluster of houses or cabins surround some sort of community space, like a park or fire pit area, or both! Everything about Seabrook encourages you to leave your busy day-to-day life behind and enjoy life at a different pace, life at the beach.

Seabrook Homes

Seabrook is full of beautiful custom built homes that are available to rent. Search their website for  vacation rentals and accommodations that will fit your every need; number of rooms, dog friendly, hot tub, ocean view, whatever you want!

Miss B Haven, in Seabrook’s Farm District, is the perfect example of what makes Seabrook standout as a vacation destination. A gorgeous craftsman style house with a uniquely beachy vibe, it has everything you could need for your beach getaway.

Owner, Brenda, has gone all out to make sure that her house is the one you want to keep coming back to. The decor is both beautiful and comfortable, inviting you to curl up on the couch with a blanket or pour a drink and relax on the front porch. The kitchen is stocked with every utensil and basic ingredient you might need during your stay. Hook your phone up to the Sonos speakers and get cooking! Want to stay in and cuddle up on the couch? The large 4k flat screen TV has access to cable, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Xbox and the pantry is filled with an array of board games, puzzles, card, books, and DVD’s.

Man’s Best Friend Welcome Here

The house is dog friendly and even comes equipped with a large, plush dog bed and elevated food and water bowls. And the bedrooms are cozy and comfy, encouraging you to sleep in and relax. Forget something? No worries, there’s contact solution, lotion, Advil, and anything else you might need in baskets in each master bathroom.  A bucket in the mud room holds slip-on sandals in an array of sizes perfect for wearing down to the beach or to the indoor pool! You’ll also find beach towels, a picnic blanket and table, outdoor pillows, and outdoor blankets in the laundry closet. There’s even a spot outside with hot and cold water to rinse off sandy toes and paws! Every house in Seabrook invites you to settle in and enjoy your time at the beach. Stay long enough and you might just forget you don’t actually live there!

Where To Eat

Seabrook has an ever-growing and always delicious food scene, not to mention a well-stocked market for all your culinary needs. For top notch pub-fare, hit up Mill 109.  The fish and chips are incredible! Just looking to chill? The beer garden next to Mill 109 is perfect and open in good weather, or just grab a pint in the mill and enjoy the view of the Pacific Ocean from the front patio.

A great lunch or dinner option is Frontager’s Pizzeria, across from the bakery. Frontager’s is the perfect example of the detail and thought that has gone into every inch of this Pacific Northwest beach town. Designed and built to look and feel like a 1930’s mercantile that has been reborn as a pizzeria. Grab a seat at the bar and watch the large wood-fired pizza oven pump out pies while you enjoy a pizza of your own. The sausage-fennel pizza is perfect with a tasty craft beer, or the white truffle pizza with mushrooms is great with a glass of rosé. Either way your pizza tastes lean, Frontager’s is top notch pizza with a great, friendly atmosphere.

The Stowaway Wine Bar

The Stowaway Wine Bar is the perfect spot to post up, no matter the weather. The cozy and intimate interior lends itself to settling in with a nice bottle of wine for an afternoon or evening of conversation. Manager, Tammy, makes everyone who steps inside feel like an old friend and is great at helping pick out a bottle that is sure to please. On a sunny day, grab a seat outside and enjoy the ocean air along with your wine. Don’t worry if it gets a little chilly, as our Washington beaches are prone to do, the fire table and blankets will keep you warm and cozy.

Whether you’re looking to just relax, or wanting to have some active fun on your beach getaway, Seabrook has it all! Most houses come equipped with a hot tub — perfect for chilling and relaxing. Looking for some fun? You don’t have to look far! Most of the community spaces include some sort of fun outdoor game, like bocce ball or volleyball, along with a communal fire pit perfect for an evening of stories and s’mores!

Cruising around town on a bike is practically a must! Many houses have bikes available for you to enjoy. Miss B Haven has two darling cruiser-style bikes complete with baskets, a bell, and even a cup holder! No bike at your house? Buck’s Bikes has you covered, and they go way beyond just your biking needs with skimboards and wet suits available for all your beach adventures.

Check out all of these fun spots and more at Seabrookwa.com or personally check them at Seabrook, Washington, 4275 SR 109 Pacific Beach, WA 98571 and get started planning your trip to Washington’s best little beach town!
