REACH Museum

The REACH opened on the first of July 2014, taking over from the Columbia River Exhibition of History, Science and Technology and putting the whole arc of the mid Columbia under one roof. Its own phrase for the range is from the Ice Age to the Atomic Age.

Gallery One follows how the land was made and remade. Gallery Two takes up the Manhattan Project and the early days at Hanford. A live native fish exhibit holds species from the Columbia and the Hanford Reach National Monument, and the entry hall belongs to local agriculture. Outside sit a Cold War era bus, a 1947 Vagabond trailer, a garden, an animal trail and a solar stage.

Tours of B Reactor run from here. So does Screech at the REACH, which has its own trading cards, along with Little Explorers, STEAM workshops and sensory friendly hours. Open Tuesday through Saturday, ten until half past four, with the last admission at four.
