Horn Rapids Golf Course is a privately owned course in northwest Richland that is open to the public, and the reason to make the drive is a demanding Keith Foster layout. It plays 6,990 yards from the Black tees with a slope of 137, every par 3 measures 200 yards or more from the back, and the round ends on a par 5 that Cascade Golfer calls a fan favorite.
The course puts it simply: everyone is welcome, and anyone can eat, practice or play. There is a driving range and putting green, Rewster’s Craft Bar and Grill on site, and 2026 green fees that start at $33 for a twilight nine.

Keith Foster designed Horn Rapids as a target golf course for a master planned community, according to Golf Course News in July 1993, with Fore Inc. as the builder. It opened in 1994 as a links style course and was owned for years by Bob Soushek of Fore Inc. In March 2019 Brad Rew, a construction company owner, bought it for $1.5 million and announced plans to fix the irrigation, add a practice facility and build a new clubhouse. Head Professional Josh Garza worked carts and caddie duty at Horn Rapids at 15.
The card rewards length and long irons. The four par 5s run 497 to 579 yards, five of the ten par 4s measure 414 yards or more, and the par 3s run 200 to 227 yards from the Black tees. The front nine plays 3,521 yards and the back nine 3,469. Most players will be happier at the Blue tees (6,709 yards) or the White tees (6,267), and the Gold, Red and Aqua tees bring it down to 4,367 yards.
Yardages are from the Black tees, from the course’s own scorecard.
Horn Rapids has an outdoor driving range and a putting green. Range balls are $5 for a small bucket, $8 for a medium and $10 for a large. Head Professional Josh Garza gives private lessons; call the pro shop for prices. Carts are $20 for 18 holes and $12 for 9, and if you arrive without clubs, the course lets you use unclaimed sets it has collected over the years at no charge.
The Horn Rapids Players Club costs $60 a year for adults and $5 for juniors 18 and under. It includes a USGA handicap index through WA Golf and a full tournament schedule; the 2026 season ends with the Closing Scramble on October 17. The event center hosts weddings, reunions, parties and company meetings at $225 an hour plus a $125 cleaning fee, with catering available.
Rewster’s Craft Bar and Grill is the course restaurant, a neighborhood gastropub with pub fare, craft drinks, live music and a patio with golf course views. The menu runs to sliders, wings, short rib nachos and tots, and the bar pours cocktails and wine. The course website and Rewster’s own site list different hours, so call 509-713-7007 before you plan a meal around your round.
These are the 2026 rates on the course’s own rate page as of October 4, 2026. Monday through Thursday, 18 holes are $50 walking or $70 with a cart, and 9 holes are $35 or $47. Friday through Sunday, 18 holes are $63 or $83 with a cart, and 9 holes are $48 or $60. Twilight cuts that to $42 for 18 and $33 for 9 walking on weekdays, and $55 and $35 on weekends. Seniors pay $60 for 18 holes with a cart on Thursdays. The page does not list the twilight start time, junior or military rates, or whether tax is included, so ask when you book.
Book through Horn Rapids’ online tee sheet or call the pro shop at 509-375-4714, which is also the number to cancel a tee time. The course lists hours of 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day and says hours change with the season, so a good rule of thumb is dawn to dusk.
