About

Woods calls this one Bakerview Square, after the shopping center it sits in at West Bakerview Road and Eliza Avenue, and it does the job a north side commuter store should: a drive through that moves, a fireplace and tables inside for anyone staying, and the same menu as every Woods, coffee the company roasts itself and pastries from its own scratch bakery, delivered each morning. Woods is a Whatcom County family company, opened in Lynden in 2002 by Wes and Diane Herman and their four kids and still family run at about two dozen stores; this was one of its earliest Bellingham stores, open before the Boulevard Park location. Bloodworks Northwest and an IHOP share the center, and the airport is a short drive up the road.
