There Ya Go Espresso

Five in the morning is the fact to hold onto. There Ya Go has opened at 5 AM on weekdays for at least ten years, the same time appears on every current listing and on a local write up from 2016, and it closes at six in the evening. On a stretch of Petrovitsky Road where the alternatives start considerably later, that is the whole proposition.

What changes is the specials board, which turns over monthly and gets posted with names rather than left anonymous. Recent ones have included an Autumn Harvest latte built on brown butter toffee and hazelnut, and a vanilla bean cold brew under an eggnog cold foam. There is no permanent house drink, which reads as a deliberate way to run a board rather than an omission.

Food is simple and the sort of thing that suits a car: cookies, cake pops and bagels, with French sodas and steamers for anyone in the back seat. Punch cards are still going, which regulars mention unprompted. No current source names the roaster, so the beans are an open question.

There are two stands, this one in Fairwood and a second in Maple Valley, run by the same people under one account and one email address. Neither address sits inside Renton city limits, which is why the city's own tourism directory does not carry them. The weekend starts later, six on Saturday and seven on Sunday, and Sunday closes at five.
