Pike Place Market, Seattle, Washington
Storyville's upstairs room on the top floor of the Corner Market Building at First and Pike, with a fireplace, leather seats and room to sit above the market crowd. Coffee roasted on Bainbridge Island, a full espresso menu and breakfast sandwiches.
This is the Pike Place Market coffee stop with a chair. Pike Place Market's own April 2024 coffee guide describes comfy leather seats, high top stools and a roaring fireplace in an amber lit room on the top floor of the Corner Market Building, and the Market's vendor page says there is plenty of space to sit. The same page calls it Storyville's first retail coffee shop.
Storyville does not roast here. The Market's vendor page says the company has roasted on Bainbridge Island since 2006, and Storyville's own site runs a Roasting Studio there, on Coppertop Loop NE, with booked tours. The espresso here is the Storyville Sunrise blend, which the company describes as caramel, chocolate and toffee, and the menu runs from a cortado and cappuccino to French press, cold brew, a cold brew latte, chai and Italian sodas.
The food list on the location page is short and morning shaped: a breakfast sandwich, Esther Mae's Granola and Garry's Oatmeal, both marked gluten free, a frosted cinnamon roll, classic, chocolate and almond croissants, and chocolate chunk, caramel and brownie cookies. The location page lists no prices.
Finding it is the trick. Storyville's page says to stand on the red cobblestones facing the red neon Market clock and sign; the Corner Market Building is on your right, and the stairs or elevator go to the top floor, Suite 34. Its own page lists 6:59am to 5pm Monday through Thursday and to 6pm Friday through Sunday. Storyville also runs a downtown cafe at First and Madison.
