Makeworth Coffee

North Bellingham, Bellingham, Washington

4.6 on Google (557 reviews)

Makeworth roasts everything it pours, in a five thousand square foot building on North State with original wood floors, high ceilings and windows to match. Seating and outlets are not in short supply.

About

Sprudge named Makeworth one of eight finalists for Notable Roaster of the Year in January 2026. It is the rare cafe where the roasting is the point: Corey Silversmith opened it on May 1, 2019 and Tim Shenkin is head roaster and shares ownership. The space runs to roughly five thousand square feet across two upper levels, with original wood floors, high ceilings, very large windows and a La Marzocco Strada on the bar. Pastries come from Avenue Bread and Lamination Station rather than a kitchen here. There is plenty of seating and plenty of outlets.
