Cafeto 21

The name reads like a coffee bar and the menu says otherwise. Cafeto 21 is a creperie first, working out of a storefront at 1127 Broadway in the theater end of downtown, and the crepes are the reason to make the trip rather than the espresso. It is new: 54 Google reviews, every one of them a five, which is a number that means enthusiasm rather than a track record.

The crepe list runs sweet and savory side by side. A Nutella Dream and a Dubai Dream cover the sweet end, a prosciutto crepe the savory, and waffles, sandwiches and avocado toast fill out the rest of the board. Espresso, matcha and smoothies run alongside. A horchata latte frappe appears on the delivery menu and would be the standout order if it is confirmed, but it does not appear on anything the shop publishes itself, so treat it as unconfirmed until you see the board.

No roaster is named on any source. The shop has no website of its own, only an Instagram account, which is normal for a business this new and is also why almost nothing about its sourcing is documented yet.

Hours are 8am to 4pm seven days a week, which is unusually consistent for downtown and makes it one of the more dependable weekend options on Broadway. It sits a short walk from the Pantages, so it works as a before or after stop on a show night, with the caveat that a 4pm close rules out anything actually in the evening.
