Bellingham Coffee Roasters

Bellingham, Washington

A working micro roastery on a light industrial cul de sac, not a sit down cafe. The Torres family has roasted certified organic and Fair Trade coffee here since 2006, and the easiest way to buy it is the Saturday booth at the Bellingham Farmers Market.

About

Bellingham Coffee Roasters is the supply side of the local coffee scene rather than a place to sit with a laptop. The Torres family has run it since 2006 out of a unit on Hammer Drive, roasting in small batches under USDA organic and Fair Trade certification, and their beans turn up on grocery shelves across Whatcom County. They also run a giving arm called Feeding Souls that donates shoes and socks. The roastery keeps weekday hours only and closes at 2pm, so the reliable way to catch them is the Saturday booth inside the Pavilion at the Bellingham Farmers Market, 10am to 2pm.
