Ristretto Coffee Lounge & Wine Bar

Ristretto opened in 2012 off College Way, moved downtown in 2017, and has belonged to Sean and Colleen O'Leary since June 2018. It sits in a nineteenth century storefront on South 1st Street, directly behind what is billed as the largest mural in Skagit County, with brick walls hung with rotating local art, couches, counters and a shelf of lending books.

By day it is a coffeehouse pouring Victrola Coffee Roasters from Seattle and Miro tea, with made to order breakfast and lunch sandwiches, paninis, bagels, salads and wraps, and baked goods brought in from a local bakery. By evening it is a wine bar with a Washington only list of wine, beer and cider. Saturdays carry the calendar: open mic from 6 to 8, wine tastings, and art classes in the space, which is also available for after hours events.

Seating is limited, by the shop's own description, so weekend evenings fill. Hours are Monday through Friday 7 to 6, Saturday 8 to 6 and Sunday 9 to 4.
