Ounces Taproom and Beer Garden

Laurel and Andrew Trujillo had lived in West Seattle nine years and kept running into the same problem: on a sunny weekend there was nowhere on their side of the bridge to sit outside with a good beer. Both came from marketing jobs, and in 2016 they left them, gutted a failing weed shop on Delridge Way with no renovation experience between them, built the fence from pallets donated by Alki Lumber and the tables from wooden cable spools, and opened Ounces that November under a heated tent so the beer garden could run through winter.

The idea has not changed. Thirty taps, every one of them Washington beer, cider or wine, chosen by the owners themselves. Smash burgers and sandwiches from Burbs Burgers, or bring your own food. All ages and dogs welcome, and the outdoor space is the point: a small taproom attached to a big garden in the Youngstown neighborhood just off the West Seattle Bridge.

Two practical notes from the owners. They do not answer the phone, so email. And the front lot is small; the real parking is behind the building and under the bridge across from the Chelan Cafe. Closed Mondays.
