Grain Artisan Bakery + Craft Coffee

Grain Artisan Bakery + Craft Coffee

Bakery Snohomish, WA

Lauren Anderson-Porter started Grain in 2015 for a plain reason she still tells: she wanted to bake her son something he could eat. The bakery opened its First Street storefront in the autumn of 2020, and Welcome Magazine covered the build at the time, when the plan was farm to table baking with a small market attached and sourcing that ran to eighty odd percent of ingredients from inside a hundred miles.

The kitchen went entirely gluten free in August 2021 and was certified in 2025, which is the detail that matters to anyone who has been burned by a shared oven. Everything in the case is safe, not a separate corner of it. The coffee side is a real bar rather than an afterthought, pulling Velton's from Everett, with milk from Grace Harbor Farms, and croissants and sourdough joined the range in 2024, both of which are hard to do well without wheat. Celebration cakes are made to order.

Open 7 AM to 6 PM most days and 7 AM to 2 PM on Mondays. It is woman owned, and family run since Logan joined in 2023.
