Daytrip Cafe

Narrative Coffee ran the room at 1400 West Holly until it closed in February 2025. Aaliyah Synn took the space and opened Daytrip that December, painting the walls deep forest green and filling it with plants, floral topped tables and her own disposable camera photographs of the Cascades.

The name comes from the trips she takes herself, out to the waterfalls and rivers within reach of town. She had worked in cafes and in roasteries before this and wanted, in her own words, a cozy place in town where people like to spend time.

The coffee is roasted by Hammerhead across town, the bagels come from the Bagelry and the pastries from Lamination Station, so most of what sits on the counter was made within a few miles of it. The shelves carry work by local makers. Open eight until four, every day.
