Argonaut Coffee and Biscuits

Argonaut started in August 2014 as an 80 square foot sidewalk espresso stand where the staff could bake only as many biscuits as would sell that morning. Noah and Lindsey Dahlstrom ran it that way for seven years, tried a sandwich shop in between, and in August 2021 moved the whole operation into the front of the Syndicate Smith architecture building at 220 US Highway 2, with the oven capacity the stand never had.

The biscuit is still the point. Buttermilk biscuits come out of the oven each morning and go into the breakfast sandwich the shop is known for, with avocado toast and pastries alongside. The espresso is from Blue Star Coffee Roasters in Twisp, so this is a Methow roaster poured in Leavenworth rather than a house roast.

The Dahlstroms have since opened Lupine Market and Cafe near Sleeping Lady, which tells you how the biscuit stand did. Hours have moved around since the 2021 opening, when it ran 7 to 4 seven days a week, and our directory has carried 7 to 2. The website does not publish hours, so confirm before an early or late visit.
