In awe of her community in Kittitas County, a mountainous slice of Heaven nestled in Central Washington, Madison hikes and forages for quietness and direction, working hand in hand with the natural world to conceptualize the intention behind her work. Serving as the Director of Tourism and Events for Kittitas County and sitting on the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust’s Natural Heritage Area Advisory Committee, Madison helps grow the area’s economic base while preserving the history, character, natural resources and valued sense of community that makes it so special. In her off time, she has discovered that writing on her blog Outdoors-Explored.com to showcase the components of what makes Washington State what it is also makes her who she is, giving her a deeper appreciation for our state and an eagerness to share it.
