The 2026 Washington Holiday Lights Map

Washington Christmas lights worth the drive

Six regions, from Candy Cane Lane to Leavenworth's Village of Lights, plus the small town nights most lists skip. Every stop answers three questions before you leave: is it on this year, when does it get crowded, and where do you go after to warm up.

Free. We'll email you the printable version.

Questions

Which dates are confirmed for 2026?

Every listing is marked. "2026 confirmed" means the date came straight from the organizer. "Last year's dates" means the organizer hasn't posted yet, so we show last year's schedule and recheck it the week of Nov 2.

Is there a drive through Christmas lights show in Washington?

Fantasy Lights at Spanaway Park runs every night, Nov 27 to Jan 3, and it's drive through only in 2026. Kelso's Rotary Lights in the Park and Centralia's Borst Park are drive throughs too, and the Desert Plateau Luminaria in West Pasco is a slow drive on one Saturday in December.

Is there a lighting ceremony in Leavenworth?

No. The weekend lighting ceremonies ended in 2021. The lights are on 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day, so go on a weeknight and skip the crowd.

Does the Christmas Ship come to Tacoma?

Not in 2026. The closest stops are Des Moines and Redondo Beach on Dec 16. For boats in lights, catch the Tacoma Yacht Club parade on Saturday, Dec 19.

Explore Washington State has been covering the real Washington for more than a decade. State parks, small towns, back roads, rest stops, and the people who make this place worth exploring. What started as a hyperlocal project covering individual communities grew into a full media project with more than 340 podcast episodes, a weekly newsletter with over  6,400 subscribers, and coverage of more than 140 Washington state parks. The content here comes from people who have actually been to these places: locals, regulars, and lifelong Washington residents who care more about getting it right than getting clicks.
