Gravity Coffee Stadium District

This is Gravity Coffee's North 2nd Street stand, sitting just off the Stadium District above downtown Tacoma. It is a drive through rather than a room, so the reason to know about it is placement and hours: a 5am open seven days a week, on a north end artery, a few minutes from both the Stadium bowl and the bridge down to Ruston Way.

Gravity roasts its own coffee in house and sells it under its Signature Blend label, with a medium roast, a white or blonde coffee and a decaf. The menu across the chain is themed and worth reading rather than defaulting to a latte: Area 51 is white coffee with white chocolate and creme de menthe, and Retrograde, Interstellar and High Voltage sit alongside it. A build your own energy drink line covers anyone who is not there for espresso, and there is a kids menu for whoever is in the back seat.

Food is the chain's Gravity Bites list, which runs to muffin tops, cake pops and snack packs rather than anything made on site. Ordering ahead and the rewards program both run through the chain's own app, which gives a free drink every twelve.

Hours are 5am to 8pm Monday through Friday and 5:30am to 8pm Saturday and Sunday, the same schedule the chain runs at its other two stands in this directory. The honest caveat is that this is a chain stand and not a Tacoma original, so it earns its place here on convenience rather than on character.
