Amaro’s Table

Amaro's Table opened on Main Street in downtown Vancouver in 2018, the first restaurant from brothers in law Genaro Zurita Amaro and Jesus Amaro Linares. They have since grown NW Hospitality Group around it, with a second Amaro's in Hazel Dell, a third on Mill Plain in east Vancouver, a fourth in Castle Rock, and the breakfast spot Cecilia and the revived Gustav's in the same family.

The downtown room is the original and still the one people mean. The menu is modern American with steaks, seafood and craft cocktails at the center, and the kitchen leans on the region for what goes on the plate. It is the kind of place Vancouver did not have much of before 2018: a full dinner downtown that feels like an occasion without requiring one.
