Course Overview

The complex says its first 18 holes were designed in 1994 by Canadian architect Lisa Maki, and that Ted Locke of British Columbia designed 27 more in 1997. The Seattle Times reported on August 4, 1999 that the original 18 had just been split into two new courses: Eagle’s Talon kept seven holes of the old layout and Coyote Creek kept nine, with Locke designing 20 new holes on what had been farmland. The Sammamish River runs alongside both 18s, and the course history page says the site was a corn farm before golf.

Eagle’s Talon is the harder test. The course describes deep white sand greenside bunkers and short grass bailout areas around every green, and says it puts a premium on placement over length. Coyote Creek is the friendlier round: the course calls it a family course with wide fairways, no rough and few forced carries. Its par 4s run 299 to 436 yards, so position off the tee matters more than distance.

Amenities and Practice

The driving range has 20 covered stalls with a heater at each bay, targets and free InRange ball tracking. Buckets are $8.50 for 40 balls, $12.25 for 60 and $14.50 for 90, plus tax. The range is on temporary limited hours: balls are dispensed 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily, from 10 a.m. on Wednesdays.

Rental sets for the 18 hole courses are $22 and require an ID and matching credit card. Heron Links is $15 for adults Monday through Thursday and $16.50 Friday through Sunday, with tee times recommended at 425-885-5476. Rainbow Run mini golf is open sunrise to sunset, first come, first served, and is cashless.

Food and Drink

The Fire Creek Grill and Ale House sits in the main clubhouse overlooking the course, with bar seating, a dining room and a patio. The menu covers appetizers, salads, burgers and house specials, and all of it is available to go; pickup orders take about 15 to 30 minutes, with no delivery on the course. The restaurant has closed for winter in past years, so call 425-883-1200 before a late season visit.

Rates, Tee Times and Local Tips

Green fees on Eagle’s Talon and Coyote Creek use dynamic pricing, so the price moves with demand and the pro shop cannot quote or hold a rate for walk on singles. The course rate page, checked October 8, 2026, posts a Monday through Thursday table for public and senior players: $42 to $49 on Eagle’s Talon and $37 to $42 on Coyote Creek before 5:30 p.m., and $19 after. Friday through Sunday is dynamic. The page names no season or year.

Book on the Willows Run tee times page or call 425-883-1200. Pay in the pro shop 30 minutes before your time and check in with the starter 10 minutes before, or you can lose the slot. Singles are walk ons only. From April to October you can book one tee time per day. The course enforces a 4.5 hour pace and gives no rain checks once you tee off unless the course closes.

• Pick the course that fits your game: Eagle’s Talon is 499 yards longer from the Blue tees.
• On Eagle’s Talon, use the short grass bailout areas the course leaves around the greens rather than short siding yourself in sand.
• On Coyote Creek, the 299 yard 16th and the 306 yard 7th are the short par 4s; place the tee shot and leave a full wedge.
