TMACS began in 2005 as T. Maccarone's, the downtown restaurant built by Tom Maccarone, a third generation Walla Walla resident. In July 2019 it moved into The Showroom on Colville, the old Teague Motor Company showroom, and took the shorter name. Maccarone retired at the end of 2025, and in January 2026 José Meza, the restaurant's longtime executive chef, became its sole owner.
The kitchen calls its food New American. Lunch has leaned on plates like a Brussels sprouts salad, Alaskan halibut and RR Ranch beef tenderloin, and chef's dinners pair the menu with local wines, with James Darden running the list as sommelier. The bar is a long curve of concrete, one of the longest in town, and the cocktails have a reputation of their own: Forbes called the list one of the strongest in Walla Walla in June 2026.
Upstairs is a cocktail lounge under a barrel roof ceiling, and a private dining room handles small groups. There is a patio with sun and shade at lunch, no reservation needed, a happy hour from 2 to 5, a short takeout menu and catering for events. Lunch runs from 11 to 3 and dinner from 3 to 9, and in a town full of tasting rooms it is one of the downtown dinners worth planning the day around.
