Spiro’s Pizza & Pasta

Spiro’s Pizza & Pasta

Pizza Restaurant Shoreline, WA

Spiro's Pizza & Pasta is a family business that began in 1991, when Jim and Sia Voltsis opened their first restaurant in West Seattle, built on a business plan their son Evan wrote for a DECA project at Shorewood High School. The Shoreline restaurant on Aurora Avenue North followed in 1995, and after the West Seattle location closed at the end of 2022 it is the one the family's website lists today, now into a third generation.

The kitchen does what Shoreline Area News called Greek Italian comfort food: a dozen specialty pizzas plus build your own in three sizes, with a gluten free crust available, pastas served with garlic bread and salad, subs including the Vangellis, named for that original business plan, calzones and the Chicken Doo Dah salad.

It sits next to Fred Meyer with plenty of parking and wheelchair access, and a banquet room holds up to 40 people for birthdays and team parties with no room charge. It is open every day, from late morning Monday through Saturday and from 4 on Sunday. The restaurant shows up for the neighborhood too, including a 2025 fundraiser night for the local schools foundation.
