North Bend Trading Co. is a gift and souvenir shop at 111 East North Bend Way, the second store from Cheri Buell, Julie Chung and Heather Dean, who opened Snoqualmie Trading Company next to their ice cream shop in December 2021. They got the keys to the North Bend space in late November 2022, finished a remodel and licensing in 15 days, and opened on December 3 in time for the town tree lighting.
Roughly 90 percent of what they carry is local, and much of it is made only for these two stores: apparel, posters, candles, books and small novelties from valley makers such as Dark Horse Ink, Ramsey Gear, Carnation Candle Co. and Blue Streak Chocolate. Buell brought two decades at Eddie Bauer to the merchandising.
The other draw is Twin Peaks. The shop stocks apparel, mugs and books tied to the show and hosts author signings during the Real Twin Peaks weekend each February. It also doubles as a visitor center. Look for Suite A on the storefront.
