The Nom Nom Stop

Dessert Shop Lacey, WA

Ada Gheorghiu and Tiberio Serbanescu were born in Bucharest and spent years in Venice before landing in Washington. They had built a chocolate business here once already, selling artisan fudge through shops at SeaTac, and watched the pandemic take it. In December 2021 they opened a storefront on College Street in Lacey and started again.

Everything runs on Belgian chocolate and gets made in house. The bonbons are hand painted and colored with nothing synthetic. Cheesecake on a stick is the showstopper, dipped to order in white, milk or dark and finished fifteen different ways over a rotating set of ganaches. The knafeh pistachio bar, the one the internet calls Dubai chocolate, is built on pistachio paste they make from scratch and kataifi cooked in butter.

Fridays and Saturdays bring the strawberry cups, and those never leave the shop.
