MARKET Seafood Eatery

MARKET has been on Main Street since 2018, doing one thing at a fairly high level. Order at the window, take a heated patio table looking out at the Edmonds fountain, and eat very good seafood without any of the ceremony that usually comes attached to it.

Fish and chips are beer battered rockfish with minty peas. Oysters are Taylor Shellfish, raw by the half dozen or the dozen, or fried into a po boy. There are four rolls: hot crab, hot lobster, cold lobster, and a Seattle crab roll that puts Dungeness and red rock together under ginger scallion aioli and furikake. Order the trio if you cannot choose. Chowder comes by the cup, in a bread bowl, or by the quart to carry off.

The wine list is entirely Washington, the fryers run on rice bran oil, and the tuna is sashimi grade and limited to whatever the day brings.
