Dirty Dave’s Pizza Parlor

Dave Wilson ran Dirty Dave's Infamous Gay 90s Pizza Parlor in Redlands, California until the family house burned in the summer of 1971. The Wilsons sold up, drove north to where Lorna Wilson's family lived, and opened again in March 1972 on Pacific Avenue in Lacey. In 1979 the restaurant moved to its present home on Martin Way. Dave died in 2013, and his children Tom, Toni and Greg own and run it now, with grandchildren in the business too. It passed fifty years in 2022.

Not much has changed since 1972, and the family says so proudly. The crew arrives at eight every morning to slice and dice the meats and vegetables, someone is in the dough room every afternoon making fresh skins, the sausage on the Gay 90s Special is homemade, and Dave's French Caesar dressing is still the special sauce on the Jake sandwich. Pizza, dinners, subs and salads are all built from the same scratch recipes.

It is a family restaurant in the older sense: banquet rooms for the team party, an arcade for the kids, merchandise and gift cards, and a long record of feeding the community beyond its own tables. Open seven days a week.
