Cups Espresso & Cafe Poulsbo

Kay Mork opened Cups on April 15, 2009 in the old Checkers Espresso space on Front Street after an eighteen day renovation, and it has poured Caffe Umbria from Seattle ever since. Jimmy and Michael Harris took it over in 2019 and have grown it into four Kitsap cafes, in Bremerton, on Bainbridge Island and in Manchester, run as Harris Family Cafes. Poulsbo is the original.

The menu item that belongs to this place is the strata: cupcake sized egg casseroles baked in rotating flavors, ham and Swiss, bacon cheddar, a gluten free spinach and sun dried tomato. Breakfast and lunch run all day, with quiche, a breakfast burrito, avocado toast and sandwiches with names like the Poulsbo Gobbler, turkey with bacon, cream cheese and cranberry, and the Ring of Fire on a jalapeno bagel. Pastries are baked in house, and the ice cream is Cascade Glacier from Oregon.

The cafe sits in suite E of the 18881 Front Street building with outdoor seating that looks over Liberty Bay. It is open every day of the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas. The company site says hours vary by location and points you to its Google listing for the current schedule.
