Brigid’s Bottleshop

Brigid's opened on the Edmonds waterfront in July 2015, in the Salish Crossing complex that also holds the Cascadia Art Museum. It is a taproom and a bottle shop at once: twenty four taps, eighteen of them rotating, a few hundred bottles to take away, growler fills, and cider, wine and alcohol free options for everybody else at the table.

The name explains the number. Saint Brigid of Kildare, patroness of Ireland, is said to have supplied beer to eighteen churches out of a single barrel, and eighteen rotating taps is the tribute.

Art here is a program rather than decoration. A new artist goes up every month and the work is for sale, which suits a building shared with a museum. The south facing deck is large and comfortable, and well behaved dogs on leads are welcome on it and inside.
