Analog Coffee

Capitol Hill, Seattle, Washington

4.7 on Google (1,152 reviews)

Analog has poured on Summit Avenue East since 2011, and in February 2026 Seattle Met still counted its coffee program among the most dialed in around town. A Capitol Hill corner shop with rotating local roasters, a record shelf and breakfast from B-Side next door.

About

Worth it for the consistency. Danny Hanlon and Tim Hayden opened Analog in 2011 on a residential stretch of brick apartment buildings, in a corner space that once held a fitness business, and fifteen years later Seattle Met's February 2026 coffee guide still included it. Look for the maroon awning and the hand painted Analog Coffee sandwich board on the sidewalk.

Analog buys rather than roasts. Its own site describes a rotating cast of local roasters, so the bag behind the bar changes, and the milk is Smith Brothers organic dairy. The menu board covers espresso, cortado, americano, drip and cold brew, with a separate pour over column, and Tasting Table picked out the espresso and tonic in a February 2024 roundup of Seattle iced coffees. If you want to know whose beans are on today, ask.

Food comes from B-Side, the breakfast and lunch counter that Analog's owners opened next door in 2017. Seattle Met's 2026 guide lists breakfast sandwiches and grain bowls, and the arrangement when it opened was simple: order at Analog, pick up at B-Side's window. Inside, records line the shelves behind the bar, and coverage from 2015 and 2018 also mentions comics and magazines to read.

Hours are 7am to 6pm every day. Parking is street only on a dense residential grid, so walking in from Broadway or Pine is the easier plan. The Seattle Times noted weekend morning lines in December 2023 and said they move fast. One thing to know before reading older reviews: Analog did not fully reopen after the pandemic until early 2023, so a pre 2023 review may describe a different setup.
