A two floor used bookstore in the Lincoln Heights Shopping Center on the South Hill, founded in 1982, with a lower level reading room, a bargain section and new titles from local authors.
2nd Look Books has sold used books on Spokane's South Hill since 1982, from a two floor shop in the Lincoln Heights Shopping Center. The late Ann Simpson founded the store, and Betsy and Jim Ashleman took it over in 2008. Downstairs, a reading room gives you a place to sit with a stack before you decide.
Most of the stock is secondhand: fiction, history, classics, science, true crime, self help and children's books, plus collectible out of print titles and new books by local authors. A bargain section prices books from 50 cents to $1. Trades are evaluated on Tuesdays and Saturdays, up to 12 books per household, and accepted books earn store credit. A coffee shop sits right next door.
