Simply Crafted

Simply Crafted started the way a lot of good flower shops do, with one person and a garage. Jenn Sharp began arranging flowers out of her Yakima home in 2019, and the business grew quickly enough to need a storefront on Summitview Avenue. In the summer of 2023 it moved across the street into Suite 22A at the west end of the Westpark Shopping Center and became something bigger than a florist: a marketplace.

Flowers are still the heart of it, fresh and dried, for daily delivery, weddings and events, with flower subscriptions that run three, six or twelve months. Around them the shop carries kitchen goods, bath and body, books, kids' things, gifts, wine and clothing from labels like Free People and Z Supply, plus candles from Rooted In, a local maker. Better Now Coffee pours inside the same building on its own schedule, which makes it easy to turn an errand into a morning.

Much of the calendar is workshops: flower arranging, wreath making, watercolor, hat decorating, wine tastings and a Thanksgiving floral class that comes back every year. Then there is Poppy Jean, the shop's flower cart on wheels, which rolls out for private bouquet, crown and wreath parties. Sharp runs it with a small team that includes Morgan Sharp as manager and designer, and the family name turns up elsewhere in town too: her brother owns McCown Crafted, and her sister is one of the owners of Crafted downtown.
