Volition Brewing Co. is North Bend's own craft brewery, at 112 West North Bend Way in the old Glazier's Dry Goods building downtown. Ward Glazier arrived in town in 1908 and his family ran a store on the site until the mid 1990s; it then sat empty until four friends, Lucas and Jamie Haines, Matthew Sherman and Ayla Jade Lukascik, spent nine months gutting and rebuilding it and opened the taproom in August 2019.

The tap list rotates through hazy IPAs like Rory's Space Bike, fruited sours, lagers and the Ghost House series, with an Imperial Stout back every October and Solar Voyage, the anniversary sour. Head brewer Brian Boenish is a certified Cicerone and Sommelier. There are also ciders, non alcoholic options and sparkling water for kids, because this is an all ages room: children and dogs are welcome, you can bring in outside food, and the brewery keeps a food truck schedule.

425 Magazine readers named it Best Brewery in 2023. Doors open at 3 on weekdays and noon on weekends, and the beer garden fire pit sits in view of Mount Si.
