Crystal Springs Sno-Park
Profile
The big one. Fifty-one miles of trails for skiing, snowmobiling, and dog sledding. This is the only place in Washington with dedicated dog sled trails, and you’ll see teams heading out early mornings if you’re there before 8 a.m. Parking is separated by useโnon-motorized in one area, snowmobiles in another, dog sledders in the back. It’s organized chaos but it works. The park connects to the Palouse to Cascades Trail and provides access to Meany Lodge if you’re into backcountry ski cabins. Very busy. Plan accordingly. Forty-seven parking spaces sounds like a lot until Saturday at 9:30 a.m. when you’re the fifteenth car circling.
Best for: Experienced users, dog sledding
Avoid if: You want peace and quiet
