Avalon Golf Links is a Robert Muir Graves design with rolling ground, native hardwoods, and greens that reward smart putting. Each nine carries its own feel. The North mixes three par 3s, three par 4s, and three par 5s. The South tests approach play and distance control on fast, tilting greens. The West is shorter from the tips but asks for accuracy off the tee. Avalon has hosted US Open Local Qualifiers and major regional events. The setting, steady conditioning, and the three-nine rotation keep the experience fresh for repeat play.

North Nine

  • Nine with equal mix of 3s, 4s, and 5s. Variety is the theme. 

  • No. 4 asks for a long, accurate approach into a narrow, moving green. 

  • No. 5 is a stout par 3 from the back tee at 224 yards. 

  • No. 6 is the longest hole at 571 yards with water guarding late. 

South Nine

  • Known as the toughest nine due to demanding greens. Keep the ball below the hole. 

  • No. 1 starts strong to an elevated green that falls right to left. 

  • No. 5 is a dogleg right at 364 yards where best play is lay up short for spin on the approach. 

West Nine

  • Shortest of the three nines and the tightest from the tee. Small greens fit the yardage. 

  • No. 4’s new back tee stretches the par 3 to 196 yards and plays tough. 

  • East-west holes give clear mountain views when skies are clear.

Call the golf shop to reserve tee times. You can book up to 10 days ahead. If you plan a group, the staff runs outings on all three nines. First-timers should pick a nine and learn its pacing. On the South, favor the low side of the cup. On the West, choose clubs that find fairways. On the North, plan your angles on holes 4 through 7.
