Dr. Tamara Caulkins is a historian of science who teaches for the Douglas Honors College at Central Washington University. Her courses include “The Nature of Beasts: Animals in History and Science,” Sites for Science: a History of the Laboratory,” and “Science and the Sea: Ocean History from the Age of Sail to the 21st Century.” Tamara also plays early 19th century classical guitar duets with her husband Neil. They curate the “Guitar in the Gallery” concert series in an acoustically fabulous space upstairs at the Gallery One Art Center in Ellensburg.
