Since its beginning in 2013, Yakima Maker Space has evolved from a simple tool-lending library to a dynamic center for creativity and learning. Yakima Maker Space is an integral resource for community and business development, offering a diverse range of tools and educational opportunities.

Maker Space boasts an impressive array of tools and equipment, fostering a rich environment for creativity and craftsmanship. Members have access to high-tech gadgets like a laser engraver, screen printing tools, and an array of 3D printers.

For textile and design enthusiasts, there are light-duty and heavy-duty sewing machines, complemented by various graphic design software.

The space is further equipped with a complete woodshop, featuring a CNC router table, a drill press, sanding machines, and numerous hand tools, all designed to assist in bringing any project to life.

Yakima Maker Space Membership Options and Benefits

Supporting Member

  • Cost: $15/month or $150/year
  • Benefits: Enjoy discounted rates for all classes and workshops, along with exclusive access to member-only social events. This level is perfect for supporting the  Maker Space and staying connected with the community.

Participating Member

  • Cost: $35/month or $350/year
  • Benefits: Get 24/7 access to YMS via an RFID key system, use of tools and work areas, and discounted rates for classes and workshops. Ideal for those seeking the full Maker Space experience. After joining, contact us for an orientation and to receive your RFID key. Your membership helps sustain our mission as a key arts and technology hub in downtown Yakima.

Family Membership

  • Cost: $50/month or $500/year
  • Benefits: Includes up to six family members, offering reduced rates for classes and workshops. It’s a fantastic choice for families interested in engaging, creative activities.

Community & Business Sponsor
