Climb a mountain, indulge in tasty food & drink, hangout around the fire and revel with other like-minded individuals. Then slide down the mountain in complete darkness guided only by the stars and your headlamp! It’s full on type 2 fun with a tasty European twist!

In the late afternoon of Saturday, March 30th, participants will meet up in the base area and start making their way uphill. The route will begin at base (4,400 ft) and wind participants through the emptied resort, stop off at the Red Bull midway station, then on to the magical Nachtspektakel Basecamp positioned at Campbell Basin Lodge (6,250 ft). Toasty lodge, warm drinks, delicious dinner, chance drawing and music await them. While the lodge and bar will keep you toasty, please make sure to bring ample warm clothing and light up gear for the ride down.

As an added BONUS our generous event partners Red Bull, Smith, The North Face, Dakine and more have provided some sweet prize packs that participants have the opportunity to win. Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the evening with proceeds benefitting The Northwest Avalanche Center.

After getting your fill of food, drink and laughs groups will ride down in the dark. Please note that you will be required to ride down in the dark under your own power so make sure to pack your headlamp. This one-of-a-kind experience is only offered once a year so take full advantage of a great workout and connect with other rad mountain lovers.

Nachtspektakel Schedule

• 4:00pm | Check in at Crystal Mountain basecamp
• Make your way uphill on skis/splitboard to Campbell Basin Lodge
• Visit the Red Bull midway station

• 5:00pm | Check-in closes at Crystal Mountain basecamp

• 5:30pm | Dinner, drinks & merriment at Campbell Basin Lodge

• 7:00pm | Raffle benefitting NWAC & Glow Wear Contest

• 8:00pm | End of Event & ride down to basecamp

What to bring: Alpine touring gear (skis, splitboard or telemark skis), backpack, headlamp. Please be prepared for all conditions, pack ample clothing. Participants should be comfortable with both their touring and snow safety equipment before registering.

Glow Wear : Dress in your best glow wear including glow sticks, wearable lights, LED capes, etc.

Nachtspektakel tickets are available in limited quantities. Any participant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please note that lift access is not available and skiers/riders must be capable of climbing uphill utilizing Alpine Touring gear for 1850 ft of elevation gain and skiing intermediate terrain.

You may request to cancel your ticket for a full refund, up to 30 days before the date of the event. Cancellation requests made within 30 days of the event will not receive a refund yet can be transferred to another individual. When you register for the event, you agree to these terms.
