Hope for Life and Watts Brewing have collaborated to create a very special brew, the Lowland Lager. An homage to East Africa’s lowland honeybee (Apis mellifera scutellata), this recipe draws inspiration from various African brewing traditions. It uses both corn and sorghum in the mash, South African-grown hops in the whirlpool, and an unfiltered lager fermentation. Join us for the release party on April 28th at 1 pm – 5 pm to taste the new beer and celebrate the work Hope for Life is accomplishing in Rwanda!
