Coaster Art Project
Installation runs during December 2024 and January 2025 in Mela’s Back Hall Small Works Space. karendawndean will host the first session which will have an emphasis on doodling, drawing and/or collage.
First Mark Making Session: May 3rd, 5-8pm during Wenatchee First Friday ArtWalk
Mela 17 N Wenatchee Ave.
Cost: $1 per blank coaster.
We invite you to donate your finished coaster to the cause.
The goal is to ‘wall paper’ the back hall with a mosaic of 1000 4”x4” community made pieces of Coaster Art, all of which will available to purchase at $10 each. Proceeds will go to regional arts programming and/or individual artist’s efforts.
Everything submitted will be hung on the wall. Mela plans on having 8 making sessions between now and when the show opens December 6, 2024.
Those sessions will be hosted by different artists with assorted making skills.
The coasters will be available to Mela patrons on an ongoing basis.
Basic supplies will be provided, but if you have a favorite marker, pencil or pair of paper cutting scissors, feel free to bring them.
Take a Walk for the Arts each First Friday.
