Andrew Hughes Climbing Using RopesOriginally from Poulsbo, Andrew grew up in the shadow of Mount Rainier. Like many of us who live in the shadow of this great mountain Andrew felt a draw toward it.  After living life for 30ish years Andrew went on an adventure. He climbed Mount Rainier. That climb has lead to dozens of other climbs and summits. Including the 7 highest peaks on all 7 continents.
We chat about his summiting Mount Everest and his upcoming North Pole expedition.  The episode is full of stories about high altitude climbing, and traveling across the globe to explore some of the most beautiful and dangerous terrain on earth.

Andrew has a commitment towards raising awareness of climate change. His journeys help raise awareness about the need to increase our commitments to conservation, sustainability, and human rights.

“There exists an explorer within us all. Anyone who is willing to seek out the unknown and new knowledge, explore the depths of one’s own life, and push the perceived limitations we place on ourselves is an explorer of “self” taking part in the greatest expedition of all…the living of one’s life.”
