Let me share a secret with you.
Vinaccio Coffee is celebrating 16 years of coffee roasting. I was able to visit them recently and all I can say is WOW! Now I will spend 600 or so words telling you why.
Located in a suburban strip mall Vinaccio Coffee looks like pretty much every other retail storefront in Western Washington. Stepping inside I was immediately greeted by super friendly baristas who took the time to chat with me. I explained about the 100 Cups of Coffee in 100 Days Project and they told me I needed to talk with the owner Mike.
This is no ordinary strip mall merchant
In Your Face!
I ordered my drip coffee and took it over to a table to get my photos for the article. The coffee was at a perfect drinking temperature. The aroma was amazing and the first sip. BAM, POW, Insert Comic Book captions. The coffee I was drinking is named Sky Valley Mud. This coffee grabs you by the collar, slaps you in the face and tells you to get on with your life. Big and bold would be like calling the Rolling Stones a garage band. This coffee is good. Damn, good.
Now let me be clear. This is not that jarring left on the burner tasting coffee. This is upfront in your face coffee tasting coffee.
One of my favorite cups of coffee so far. I could drink this all day. Good Coffee. Check!
Mike the owner was roasting coffee (First shop I’ve been at where the roaster was working!) and I was able to chat with him for a moment. He was running out the door to make an appointment, so our conversation was brief. He was very friendly, and I am looking forward to going back to the shop and chatting with him about coffee and his plans for Vinaccio Coffee in the future.
Then I went back to my coffee……mmmmm….
As I mentioned the staff at Vinaccio Coffee are super friendly. I was chatting with the baristas and they were all super positive and totally into delivering a great customer experience for everyone who walks through the doors or uses the drive thru. They all said how much they loved working there. It’s great to go into any business and chat with employees who are happy and feel appreciated. It’s even better when they are serving coffee =)
The shop is comfortable with lots of seating. It would be a good place to meet a friend and have something to drink while catching up.
They sell their various roasts and I encourage you to stop in and pick up some Sky Valley Mud. They ship also so you can order from them online.
Vinaccio Coffee participates in Ethical Coffee Sourcing and uses farm direct sources. They also send coffee to our troops overseas. I love the social responsibility that Vinaccio shows. They are a great asset to Monroe and the Snohomish County.
Where to find
You can visit Vinaccio Coffee at 14751 N Kelsey St. Monroe, WA 98272. Check out their Instagram or you can find them at their website or on Facebook. It would be best though to stop in and see them and when you do stop in tell them you heard about them from Explore Washington State.
This wraps up day Thirty-Two of One Hundred. Where will I be having coffee tomorrow? Check back and see. Have you been to Vinaccio Coffee? Share your thoughts below. Do you have a favorite coffee shop? Send me the name and address of any shops that you think I should go to.
