Originally constructed in 1964 and known as “Civic Field” until 1980. The field was renamed to Joe Martin Stadium

Joe Martin Field has been home to three minor league affiliates and is currently the home of the Bellingham Bells of the West Coast League. The field is the former home of three Major League Baseball affiliates: the Bellingham Dodgers, Bellingham Mariners, and the Bellingham Giants.

The field has been renovated and expanded several times in the past few decades to better accommodate the needs of fans and players.
