Topside Coffee Cabin Steilacoom WA, Day 18 of the 100 Cups of Coffee in 100 Days Project

Reader Recommended. Thanks for the tip!

Topside Cabin Coffee is located in Steilacoom Washington which is a small town located on south Puget Sound.  Topside Cabin Coffee is located under Topside Bar & Grill.  Originally opened in 2014 this coffee shop has a great beach cabin feel to it.

I was told this is a shop that I needed to add to the 100 Cups of Coffee in 100 Days Project. I am glad that I was able to visit and take in the shop and drink the coffee. If any of you have recommendations of other coffee shops for me to visit, please comment below. I will do my best to get them on the itinerary.

Warm Welcome.

Walking into the shop I was greeting by the two baristas and made to feel welcomed immediately. The décor is indeed straight from a beach cabin. That is if the beach cabin was owned by Martha Stewart and had full time staff to keep it neat and tidy.  The shop was decorated with Red, White, and Blue decorations in preparation for the Forth of July.  It has been the only shop so far that I have visited that had seasonal/holiday decorations.

There is a lot of seating both inside and out so you can relax and enjoy your coffee.  I was using the Wi-Fi and found it to be a good strong signal. I think this could be a great place to grab coffee and a pastry and get some work done. The interior was bright with lots of light and very clean. Comfortable space to enjoy coffee and have conversation. Check.

Good Coffee. Beautiful Espresso Machine

My coffee was served to me in a ceramic mug and was the perfect temperature. The coffee was from an air pot which can be scary to a coffee drinker if the coffee has been sitting for any length of time. This coffee was fresh with a great aroma.  Big and bold just how I like it. The coffee is from Olympic Crest Coffee Roaster in Lacey, Washington. I will be adding them to the list. It was the house blend and I recommend it. While I was drinking my coffee the shop was doing a modest business. My visit was in the afternoon and it was a nice sunny day out. I expect that they do a brisk morning business. Tasty Coffee check.

Topside Cabin Coffee has a beautiful pastry case.  I was being well behaved, so I did not try anything this visit. I know I will be giving something a try on my next visit. They also serve Mad Hat Teas and Ice Cream Social Ice Cream. There is something for everyone.  There is a selection of coffee and teas to purchase to take home.

One final observation. The espresso machine is simply beautiful! I love the color as it really provides something to draw the eye.  For those of you who have watched the Big Lebowski you know how a rug can tie a room together.  This espresso machine really ties Topside Cabin Coffee together.

Yay! Glad you went and enjoyed! Steilacoom is one of my favorite places and I feel like this place fits the vibe of the town very well.
