Outdoor Gear: 2021 Holiday Gift Guide

With a huge majority of our followers being outdoor enthusiasts, we had to of course include an outdoor gear portion to the gift guide!

tent stars

Tent Stars

If you’re shopping for someone who has everything (and then some) we love Tent Stars!  Tent Stars are solar-charged 12ft. string lights that are compact and lightweight. Strung on a spool, they are small enough to fit into any back. Once you reach your destination, you can string them in your tent, around your campsite, or even in your backyard. They have a 10-hour battery life and take about 6 hours to fully charge up.

Rite in the Rain

Do you know someone who is obsessed with taking trail notes? Rite in the Rain can be found across the globe but are a Washington State-based business. They have pens, notebooks, and other gear to keep your projects dry in the rain. They are all-weather products and guaranteed against any defects. This means no matter if it’s pouring rain on the trail, or the sun is shining: your gift recipient will be able to track their progress, keep notes, and any other important information.

I personally prefer their “On-the-go notebook” that comes in a 6-pack, which makes for easy stocking stuffers for multiple people, or keeping one for yourself! Make sure to also check out their “All-Weather pocket pen” to go along with the notebook.

Metamorphic Gear

Don’t let the adventure stop! Metamorphic Gear creates eco-friendly products for every outdoor enthusiast with chic products that use upcycled materials like rope and tarpaulin that have been reimagined into totes, bags, and more. Metamorphic Gear also makes sure to give back to different projects — you can read more about their current goal here.

My two suggestions (aka items on my personal wishlist) are their Quartz Medium Dopp Kit in an array of colors, and their Marble Boat Tote which could be used for grocery shopping in the morning and along the water in the afternoon. Don’t forget to check out our podcast episode with founder Lindsay Lawrence to learn more about how they upcycle, how they are able to keep products out of landfills, and their designs.

“I hope you enjoyed this fun list of items! Make sure to check out our entire gift guide here. While you’re reading, make sure to tune into our podcast to learn more about several of our featured businesses. We’d love to see you share this gift guide with your friends and family this holiday season, share the love below.”
