Maple Valley Days 2017: List of Events

Maple Valley is a city in western Washington State that is best known for an annual festival called “Maple Valley Days”. This festival is celebrated each year at Lake Wilderness Park in King County. The events start the second weekend of June and include a variety of activities for families with kids and large groups. The best part about this festival is that it has been celebrated for over 60 years and conveys a great sense of community as both locals and visitors get to experience a bit of Maple Valley culture.

Maple Valley Days has more than 75 parade entrants, 120 food and vendor booths, carnival rides and much more.

The list of events for 2017 are outlined below:

Carnival Special

The carnival special will start at 4 pm on Friday and it will end on 10 pm. The event will be full of fun rides and feature food stalls run by local vendors. There is also a Maple Valley Food Bank food drive – Bring 4 non-perishable food items and $20.00 for a bracelet to ride unlimited rides on Friday only from 4pm – 10:00pm. $30 without a food donation.

Parade on Witte Road

The parade on Witte road will take place on Saturday from 10 am to 12 pm. Go here for full parade information. Bring along your friends to enjoy the event.

Street Rats Car Show

This spunky classic car show will start from 8 am to 3 pm. The Maple Valley Street Rats have a great collection of classic cars that have been showcased in events all around the Puget Sound. You can enjoy them on Saturday… bring your friends!

Breakfast at the Maple Valley Community Center

This breakfast will be hosted by Covington Lions Club & GMVCC. It will start on Saturday at 7 am. The price ranges from $7 per adult to $5 per child (ages 12 and younger). The main dishes that will be included in the breakfast include pancakes, eggs, sausages and coffee etc.

Running of the Tennis Balls

This super fun and unique fundraising event will be conducted by the Rotary club of Maple Valley and will start on Saturday at 3 pm. In the past, it has involved bouncy houses, race courses and over 4,000 tennis balls! Definitely something to attend if you can, and a great event for those with kids. The tickets can be purchased by paying $5 each to win a long list of prizes.

Maple Valley Art Festival

In addition to all the interesting events that are conducted at the Maple Valley Days 2017, one of the most interesting on is the art festival. It will be celebrated on Saturday at 12 pm to 6 pm and on Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. The art festival will be held at the Lake Wilderness Lodge and featured open mic performances on Saturday. Radio-Controlled Hydros

This fun water sport can be enjoyed on Saturday at 12 pm to 5 pm and on Sunday from 12 am to 4 pm.

Bear Run & Walk

The Bear Run & Walk starts on Sunday at 9 am and goes to 11 am. There are prizes and awards for all ages and it’s and event that can be as low-key or competitve as you want it to be. For more information on how to register and details you need to know before you show up, click here.
