Mid Afternoon Coffee Break.

I started my day early and had put a couple of hundred miles in already when I arrived at Mak Daddy Coffee. It was mid afternoon and I needed a pick me up. Walking into the shop I was impressed with how clean and inviting it was. There were a lot of people enjoying beverages and chatting among themselves. The vibe was friendly and warm.

Wondering up to the counter I was pleased to see such a wide variety of options available to me. Lots of choices. My barista was very friendly and helpful. I selected the bourbon infused coffee (more on that later) and had it prepared as a pour over.  The presentation was fantastic. The coffee was presented in coffee server with a ceramic mug on a wooden platter.  I was afraid I would drop it when I walked over to my table

Bourbon anyone?

Coffee impressions. The reason you’re here right?  Mak Daddy Coffee Roasters roasts their own coffee. One in particular caught my eye.  The Bourbon Infused. Now, I am not a fan of flavored coffee. I am however a fan of coffee and I am a fan of bourbon. I decided to give this a shot. As a pour over the coffee was very good. The idea of infusing green beans with top shelf bourbon for 21 day is very interesting. This was a great cup of coffee to enjoy in a coffee shop while looking out the window on a sunny afternoon.

Next time I come back I will give their other roasts a try. The website shows that they have coffees from Peru, Colombia, Honduras and Guatemala.  Looks like I have my work cut out for me. Their cold brew looks promising for a hot summer day.

All you can drink???

Now here is something I would take absolutely take advantage of if I lived closer to Yakima.  Mak Daddy Coffee offers their Caffeine Culture Club.  For one fixed price you can have unlimited drip coffee or with their Buzzed plan unlimited drip, espresso, cold brew or tea.  What a deal!  I love this idea.  Mak Daddy open a store near me NOW!

The shop has a lower level which I did not venture down to. Looks from the top of the stairs to be more seating. Perhaps the roaster is down there?  Again, something else for me to explore the next time I visit.

Mak Daddy has live music on occasion.  Take a look at their social media profiles to see when the next performance is.
