If you know someone in the Puget Sound who has kids and no air conditioning in their house, chances are that they’ve been here. Boasting multiple tube slides, a pirates lagoon (a three-story treehouse for the youngsters), and an array of rides that typically include some sort of water element, Wild Waves draws some huge crowds in the summer.
Located just off of I5, the easy access and full-service water and theme park brings in visitors from as far south as Olympia and as far north as Seattle.

OK, that’s a little bit mean. But truly, there’s not a ton to do in Federal Way. It’s actually located conveniently close to I5 and you can quickly pop over into other communities to check out what they have going on over there. It’s a pretty good place to live, especially if you can find a spot towards the water along Dash Point Rd. But finding fun and interesting things to do typically requires looking outside the city limits.
