Fiddlers Coffee Centralia, WA Day 16 of the 100 Cups of Coffee in 100 Days Project

Fiddlers Coffee Centralia

Family of Fiddlers Serve Quality Coffee

Fiddlers Coffee is located in Centralia right off of exit 81 on I-5. Well, not right off; as the exit is a bit of a pain but, you can see I-5 from their front porch. Fiddlers Coffee opened in 2004 with an interesting backstory. The family has multiple national fiddle champions. I would not of thought of such a connection between fiddles and coffee. The family band has 8 members who have won 13 championships! Their love of music and their love of good coffee shines when you visit.

Comfortable and Quality

Walking into Fiddlers for the first time I noticed the rustic décor. Lots of wood, musical instruments, and leather chairs. Over in a fireplace is the focal point. Everything is welcoming and cozy feeling. Lots of people were ordering coffees and others were sitting around having conversations both on the main level and on the upper level. Even with all the people having conversations is was not loud. Comfortable space to enjoy coffee and have conversation. Check.

The coffee bar is large and well-staffed. My order of drip coffee “for here” was quickly prepared and presented to me in a ceramic cup with saucer. Fiddlers Coffee serves coffees roasted by Caffe D’Arte. The beans are available for sale and have names like Wood Roast, Grizzly Roast, and Northwest Roast. Regretfully I did not ask what specific coffee I was drinking (sigh, you would think by now I would have this dialed in) My coffee was hot but not too hot and had a nice aroma to it. This was a very solid cup of coffee. One that I would gladly order again. Good cup of coffee. Check.

Good Wi-Fi and tasty treats.

I had a bit of work to do so I broke out the laptop and easily connected to Fiddlers wi-fi and was able to take care of things quickly. Good wi-fi for you road warriors. As I mentioned the fireplace is the focal point and even on this summer morning people were sitting in front of it having conversations. The place is relaxing and encourages taking your time to slow down and enjoy your beverage and possibly a bite of something from the pastry case. If you are travelling on I-5 and you need a bit of a break to recharge Fiddlers Coffee is waiting for you.
