Join former mountain guide and snow camping instructor, Theresa Hagerty, for an hour of winter hiking and camping tips and inspiration. Teresa has over a decade of snow camping and mountaineering experience and is eager to share stories, tips, and a touch of humor to leave you prepared for all of your snowy adventures.

In this class, you’ll learn everything you need to know for a successful overnight trip through a winter wonderland — from planning your route, assessing weather and avalanche conditions, to dressing for success and essential equipment like snowshoes, micro-spikes, cramptons, axes and picking the perfect campsite. Prepare for an hour of wisdom, and newfound confidence as you gear up for winter hiking and backpacking.

Teresa Hagerty, Cascade Mountain Adventures
Teresa Hagerty is a Pacific Northwest-based hiker, backpacker, mountaineer, and experienced outdoor trip leader. She is the founder and Lead Guide of Cascade Mountain Adventures, a women-focused outdoor adventure company. Passionate about encouraging and educating beginner adventurers, Teresa aims to share the gift of the outdoors with everyone. She holds certifications in Wilderness First Aid and AIARE 1 and is a proud Leave No Trace Trainer. Teresa resides in Seattle, and her perfect day includes a remote mountain summit, a patch of sunlight, and a cold IPA.
