Join us for an exclusive member preview of the Whatcom Museum’s fall exhibition, Under the Inspiration Tree: Celebrating the Work of Thomas Wood.

This comprehensive showcase highlights the remarkable 48-year career of Bellingham artist Thomas Wood, featuring over 300 artworks, including etchings, oils, pastels, and sculptures. Experience a unique insight into Wood’s creative process with a recreated studio exhibit. Curated with pieces from private collections and in collaboration with Wood’s widow, Pam Brownell, and his studio assistant, Mandy Turner, this exhibition is the most extensive display of Wood’s work to date.

Celebrate Wood’s legacy and his contributions to the regional and international art community, including his collaborations with artists and organizations, and his teaching at the prestigious Il Bisonte in Florence. Don’t miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in Wood’s playful and intricate artistry.

Enjoy an evening of drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and live music as you explore the exhibition and connect with fellow art enthusiasts. Not a member yet? Join today to enjoy this and many other exclusive events!
